This is the project that got me hooked.
CherokeeJet N9586J after
13 years of tied-down neglect and 14 months of restoration.
This site documents the construction of my Van's RV-7 and (eventually) other projects.
The menus on the left link to the major sub-assemblies.
You'll find links to other RV builders scattered about the site
and on the Links page at
Van's Aircraft.
If you're contemplating building your own experimental aircraft, or are a current
builder looking for ideas, I hope you enjoy your visit. If you have questions about something you see (or don't
see) here, or see something I've dumb-thumbed, please
contact me.

This
project would not be possible without the help, cooperation and support of my family. Alli
helps me buck the rivets
that I can't reach, reminds me to eat and keeps my coffee cup full.
Dan Checkoway,
Sam
Buchanan,
Mike Stewart
and
Walter
Tondu have been more help than they'll
ever know, always patient with my bone-headed questions and thorough in their answers.
This process would be much more difficult without the massive network of builders helping each other.
I am blessed to have Oshkosh Grand Champion Scratch Builder Dan Horton for an EAA Technical Advisor.
Matt Dralle's RV-List is an outstanding collection of email forums for hashing out problems and sharing ideas about
things that fly and what makes them tick.
Gene McNeely
provides moral support, guidance and experience gained thru
his many years in the aviation business.

We are through paying Stupid Tax. If
you're in debt, get out (out of debt, that is - you're still welcome
here). Dave Ramsey provides motivation, tools and common sense
financial education to AM, XM and web listeners daily.
