The empennage kit arrives via FedEx in two boxes.  The bigger box contains the skins and spars, the small box has all the ribs, fittings, hardware and other stuff.

Good organization will reduce frustration and minimize the time wasted looking for parts you know you have.  The 60-drawer storage box I found at Lowe's is a good place to stash all the little pieces and hardware, but you'll want another when the wing kit arrives.  Find an empty table and a pencil. 

Dig thru the parts till you find the paperwork, usually protected in a large Ziploc bag and start inventorying and sorting.  Given about two hours of peace and quiet, you can inventory all the parts and get it all stashed and organized for easy picking later - labels help, too.
